FRENCH FAIENCE TIN-GLAZED EARTHENWARE OPEN SALTS, LOT OF SIX, each having polychrome hand-painted decorations, comprising one tri-footed double-form example having figures in traditional Bretagne dress and five bird motif examples including a duck example with coat of arms to chest and four double-form examples including a duck with "HONFLEUR" coat of arms to back, rooster and a toucan. Marks to underside include various factory symbols including Porquier, "Batz", "HERMES / MOUSTIERS", "MADE / in / FRANCE", and "FRANCE". Hermes, Moustiers; Porquier Factory, Quimper, France. Late 19th/first half 20th century. 3" HOA.
