GEORGIAN ENGLISH STERLING SILVER MINIATURE TEAPOT, having a bulbous-form well with an applied scrolled handle and straight spout, topped by likely original cover with spherical finial and raised on a round foot rim, underside engraved "A R / 1740". Each with a maker's mark of "JC" possibly for John Clayton of London and a lion passant hallmark for sterling fineness. Total weight: 0.450 ozt. Second quarter/mid 18th century. 1 5/8" HOA.

Very good visual condition with some wear and surface scratches, some minor denting, edge of cover with spots of bending, probable repairs at top and edge of cover, one or a few possible repairs including to end of spout.
