Housed in original frame with red-leather case monogrammed "H. L. Jr." 1893. 2" x 3" sight.
Catalogue Note: Gerald S. Hayward, was born in Ontario, Canada, he studied at the Royal Academy of Art, London from 1879-1883, then spent most of his professional career in New York.
Herman Thong Livingston, Jr. (1883-1951), was a longtime resident of New York, having spent some time with the military during World War I. He married Olga Tina Kobbe in 1909, and they had a daughter Alida in 1915. "Oak Hill", Linlithgo, New York, is a private estate that was built in 1793 and still resides in the Livingston family.
