GERMAN METTLACH GENTLEMAN MOTIF CERAMIC STEINS, LOT OF TWO, mold numbers 1914 and 1998, each having etched sides with polychrome hand-painted decorations and metal thumbrests, 1/2 liter size, comprising one featuring a man holding a flag and dumbbell with metal conical lid and one depicting Trumpeter from Sackingen with ceramic inset lid. Marks to underside include impressed abbey with "METTLACH / VB" and "GEGEN NACHBILDUNG / GESCHUTZT", additional impressed numerals. Late 19th/early 20th century. 8 3/4" HOA.
