GERMAN METTLACH MASONIC CERAMIC STEIN, mold number 1819, having etched sides with polychrome hand-painted decorations featuring two hands shaking in front of a Palladian-style building with assorted fraternal items, ceramic inset lid depicting a bible, compass, and triangle, signed "C. Warth" and a thumbrest with acorns and oak leaves, 1/2 liter size. Impressed abbey with "METTLACH / VB" and "GES. GESCH. / REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. / MADE IN GERMANY" marks to base, additional impressed numerals. Late 19th/early 20th century. 8" HOA.
