GERMAN METTLACH TRUMPETER CERAMIC STEIN, mold number 2008, having etched sides with polychrome hand-painted decorations featuring scene depicting a gentleman astride a horse and blowing a bugle horn with flag attached, signed "F. STUCK", ceramic inset lid depicting a woman's profile with "MARGARETHA" above and metal thumbrest, 1/2 liter size. Impressed "METTLACH / VB" and "GESCHUTZT" marks to base with additional impressed numerals. Late 19th/early 20th century. 7" HOA.
