GERMAN METTLACH / VILLEROY & BOCH CERAMIC STEINS, LOT OF FOUR, each having ceramic inlaid lid and a metal thumbrest, comprising one 3/10L size mold number 2248 with relief design featuring peasants dancing and three 1/2L size examples including a mold number 2025 depicting carousing cherubs, a mold number 2057 featuring dancing peasants, and mold number 2930 depicting relief man and woman with a German verse between. Impressed marks to underside include three having abbey with "METTLACH / VB" and various numerals, and two having green-printed Mercury with "VILLEROY & BOCH / METTLACH". Late 19th/early 20th century. 8" HOA.
