GORHAM AND OTHER STERLING SILVER FLATWARE, LOT OF 33, comprising a set of eight "Lancaster" teaspoons by Gorham Mfg. Co. of Providence, RI consisting of one engraved "Offutt" with no retailer's mark and seven engraved "Hume" with retailer's marks for M.A. Selbert of Frankfort, KY (active 1889-c. 2020), a "Rose" olive/pickle fork by The Stieff Co. of Baltimore, MD with engraved "EHO" initials to back, a set of 12 demitasse spoons without maker's mark, possibly being recast, having engraved "H" initials to backs, and pieces by Whiting Mfg. Co. consisting of a set of six "Lily of the Valley" teaspoons with retailer's mark for V.B. Thayer of Memphis, TN and a set of six "Fiddle" place forks with engraved "LBR" initials. Each with "STERLING" marks, most with maker's marks. Total weight: 21.005 ozt. Late 19th/20th century. 3 1/2" to 7 1/8" LOA.
Good to excellent overall condition with minor to moderate wear, surface scratches, and other imperfections including nicks, bending, one or more dents, and/or worn spots to raised decoration.
