JAMES RIVER, VIRGINIA DECORATED STONEWARE JARS, LOT OF TWO, salt-glazed, each approximately one-and-one-half gallon capacity, having double incised shoulder rings, comprising one Parr family attributed example with squared rim and applied arched handles and one example with rounded rim and arched tab handles. Each with brushed cobalt horizontal flower decoration to each side with additional cobalt to handle terminals. Third quarter 19th century. 11 1/2" and 11 3/4" H.
