JOSEPH LONG LEHN (CLAY TOWNSHIP, LANCASTER CO., PENNSYLVANIA, 1798-1892) FOLK ART PAINT-DECORATED TURNED TREEN SAFFRON CUP, urn-form cup raised on a plain stem and stepped foot, the cover having a banded rim and knopped finial, retaining original vibrant polychrome floral, foliate, and strawberry decoration. Mid 19th century. 5" HOA, 3 3/8" H rim, 2 1/2" D foot.
Excellent condition, cup with a 1/8" x 1/4" dent at one flower resulting in minor paint loss, 1/16" x 1/2" area of paint loss to edge of foot, cover with some wear to paint at lower rim.
