KENTUCKY FEDERAL INLAID CHERRY CHEST OF DRAWERS, rectangular top over four graduated dovetailed drawers with period brass pulls and line inlay, raised on bracket feet, front with cut-out skirt, solid ends. Poplar secondary wood. Retain an old surface with warm color. Circa 1820. 37 1/2" H, 42 1/2" W, 19" D.
Catalogue Note: Descended within the Frazer/Redd/Gaitskill families of Kentucky and inherited by Elizabeth Redd Gaitskill, daughter of Oliver Frazer Gaitskill whose father, Oliver Frazer Redd was the great grandchild of Kentucky artist Oliver Frazer.

Condition
Very good overall condition, later backboards, old break with associated repair to top, old repair to veneer to proper front left foot, and with areas of minor wear.
