Hill. / by the Employees of the / M.S. DIV. OF THE / L.S. & M.S.R.R. / Novr.. 1873." Base impressed with maker's mark for Rogers, Smith & Co. of Hartford, New Haven, and Meriden, CT (active 1857-1898) in addition to "4 1/2 / 26" and "PATD NOV 12 / 1867" marks. Circa 1873. 31 1/2" LOA, 25 3/4" x 19" OA rim.
Good to very good overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, and nicks, some worn spots/losses to silver, overall tarnishing, well with slight bending causing it to not be complete flat.
