MASCOTTE PRESSED GLASS APOTHECARY JARS, LOT OF FOUR, colorless and some with slight sun-colored amethyst tints, one of spherical form and three tubular/cylindrical, each raised on round feet and with matching patterned stoppers, ground to fit except for the smallest. First quarter 20th century. 9 3/4" to 20 1/2" H.
Excellent condition overall, some with flaking and scattered chipping to mouths, and/or the upper and lower rims of stoppers. Tallest with a wide rough annealing fissure around circumference of stopper, resulting in some shallow chipping/losses, only felt on upper surface, as made.
Collection of the late Al and Billy Steidel, Alexandria, VA.
