MID-ATLANTIC OVERSHOT COVERLET, red and brownish-grey, probably fugitive, wool and natural cotton, two joined panels, having overall geometric pattern featuring circular motifs. Together with a 20th century overshot coverlet, red wool and natural cotton, one panel, having overall flower grid pattern, borders along two sides, two ends with fringe. Two pieces total. Second half 19th century. Two-paneled 60 1/2" x 83"; other 62" x 84" with fringe.

Two-paneled in very good visual condition with scattered small losses to wool, a few small stains, end edges with minor to moderate wear, one end of center seam with short separation and the other end with possible restitching; other example in very good overall condition with light toning, some scattered stains including a few small spots of white residue, several losses to fringe.
