MID-ATLANTIC, POSSIBLY WESTERN MARYLAND, DIMINUTIVE WALNUT BLANKET CHEST, hinged rectangular form, one-board lid over a dovetailed case with open till and two small drawers, all raised on an applied cut-out bracket-foot base of spurred profile. Pine and poplar secondary woods. Retains an old surface with warm color. First quarter 19th century. 20" H, 17" x 37 1/2" lid.

Good overall condition with moderate wear, heavier, with some staining, to lid. Hinges replaced with associated repairs. Minor wear and losses to feet.
