MISSOURI / KENTUCKY TEMPLETON FAMILY / SIBLINGS SIXTH-PLATE DAGUERREOTYPE PORTRAITS, LOT OF TWO, comprising one post-mortem example depicting toddler Fidelo Templeton and one featuring baby Mary Templeton sitting upright in a chair and wearing a tinted blue dress. Each housed in its original embossed leather-covered case, Fidelo having additional dark green velvet-lined cover. 1855-1860. 3 5/8" x 3 1/8" case.
Catalogue Note: Fidelo and Mary Templeton were two of the children of the Reverend Joseph and Eleanor (Ellen) Templeton. Both children were born when the family resided in Saint Louis, Missouri. While Fidelo died as a small child and was buried in Saint Louis. Mary Templeton lived to the age of 76 and was buried in Arlington, VA. Their parents are buried in Hopkinsville, Christian County, Kentucky. 

Condition

Fidelo's case detached and in two pieces, otherwise image in excellent condition; Mary's image in fair condition having some tarnishing and spotting, spotted corrosion to the liner, and case lacking front/cover.
