NEW ENGLAND PAINT-DECORATED PINE COBBLER'S / WORK BENCH, featuring applied gallery and multiple drawers. Retains original polychrome-painted surface, with finely executed landscapes, with a box of cast-iron shoe forms. Possibly Maine. 19th century. 46" H, 45" W, 22" D.
Catalogue Note: The decoration on the present Cobbler's bench resembles that often seen on children's sleds produced in Paris, Maine.
