NEW JERSEY SLAVE MANUMISSION MANUSCRIPT DOCUMENT, dated November 10, 1827, "To all to whom these presents shall come know yea that I, David B. Hurd of the township of Jefferson in the County of Morris ... have emancipated, manumitted, and set free and by these present do emancipate, manumit, and set free my negro slave John Hopper of about the age of twenty-five years and do hereby discharge the said John forever from servitude", signed David B. Hurd, two witnesses, one seal attached, with docketing on verso. 10" x 8 3/8".
Condition
Good condition with folds, some edge chipping, loss of one seal, blue ink mark to left side.
