NEW MARKET, SHENANDOAH VALLEY OF VIRGINIA EARTHENWARE / REDWARE ARTICLES, LOT OF THREE, lead-glazed, comprising one 3 3/4" H cylindrical-form mug and two jars, each approximately half-gallon capacity, of wide-mouth semi-ovoid form and fully glazed under base. Possibly John George Schweinfurt (1825-1907), John G. Coffman (1803-1889), or others, New Market, Shenandoah Co., VA. Circa 1870. 6 1/2" HOA.
Condition
Jars undamaged, having glaze wear to rim; mug broken and glued with some minute losses at repair.
