NORTH CAROLINA FEDERAL INLAID WALNUT BLANKET CHEST ON FRAME, hinged rectangular lid with applied moldings, over the dovetailed case with inlaid six-petal rosette surrounded by a string-inlaid faux panel, above two dovetailed lip-molded drawers having string-inlaid faux panels, and original brass bail handles, raised on tapered feet. Yellow pine and poplar secondary woods. Retains an old refinished surface with warm color. Circa 1810. 27" H, 44" W, 18 3/4" D.

Condition
Very good overall condition, hinges replaced, lacking interior till and drawer locks, drawers with patches to lips, typical wear.
