NORTHEASTERN DECORATED STONEWARE JARS, LOT OF TWO, salt-glazed, each designated three-gallon capacity with double incised shoulder rings, applied arched handles, and Alkaline-slip glazed interior, comprising a wide-mouth cylindrical-form example and an ovoid-form example with flattened galleried rim. Brushed and slip-trailed cobalt decorations including one with floral design, each with additional cobalt at handle terminals. 19th century. Ovoid example 12 1/8" H, 7 1/8" D rim.
