OHIO ATTRIBUTED "SAWTOOTH DIAMOND" PIECED QUILT,
hand-stitched, solid white and cheddar fabrics, having center sawtooth diamond encompassed by two sawtooth frames graduated in size, all four sides with sawtooth border, various quilting including plume wreath, running plume, grid, channeled, and chain, applied binding, three-paneled plain backing.
Fourth quarter 19th century.
76 1/2" x 78".
Provenance: Property from a Youngstown, OH estate.
Very good overall condition, top with some light to moderate fading to cheddar fabric, some light toning and stains/spotting, backing with light toning mostly along fold lines and edges, a few scattered stains and spotting.
