PENNSYLVANIA ATTRIBUTED "ALBUM / CROSS PATCH" PIECED QUILT, hand-stitched, 30 pattern blocks in solid cheddar and green print fabrics, grid sashing in double-pink print fabrics with green print square centers, solid cheddar border to all four sides, all-over diagonal and straight-line quilting with outline quilting along edges of blocks, applied red print fabric binding, two-paneled plain backing. Circa 1870. 67" x 80 1/2".
Mostly in very good overall condition, top with some scattered bleached spots, a few minor stains/spotting, light fading mostly along edges, one block with a tear to edge of one cheddar piece, one edge with a pinhole that goes through to the backing, binding with all-over typical losses to dark color on print and one edge having several tears and losses, backing with some toning mostly along edges and fold lines, some scattered stains and spotting, area of staining at one corner, a few small holes.
