PENNSYLVANIA ATTRIBUTED NEEDLEWORK SAMPLER, linen or cotton on linen, ten alphabet rows segmented by horizontal bands of decorative stitching, all four sides with linear frame. Unframed. First half 19th century. 4" x 9 1/2".
Condition
Very good overall condition, linen with some light toning, a small hole near center, and a few small stains/spotting, probable loss of one "C" at top, some thread with fading/fugitive color.
