PORTUGUESE MAJOLICA WHITE FRUIT MOTIF CERAMIC TABLE ARTICLES, LOT OF 20, each featuring relief images of assorted fruit and foliate, comprising six bowls, eight 8" D plates, and six service plates. One retaining label with sailboat having "MADE IN PORTUGAL / over and back inc. / purveyors to the world". Late 19th/first half 20th century. Bowls 2 7/8" HOA, 7" D rim.
Provenance: From the collection of Jim Zwiegler and Lisa Schmid-Zwiegler, Broadway, VA.
Fourteen undamaged; one bowl with rim hairline; one 8" D plate with minute rim flake, one with rim hairline, one with chip to foot ring, possibly as made; one service plate with minor rim flake, one with very minute rim flake.
