FRENCH MENTON PALISSY-STYLE BARBOTINE MAJOLICA CERAMIC FIGURAL BASKET, diamond form with woven sides and intertwined double branch handles, having bold polychrome hand-painted floral and fruit decorations to each side. Incised "No 4" to interior and underside with brown hand-brushed "Menton" and impressed circular mark featuring overlapping "VV" with diamond to center. Circa 1900. 6 1/2" HOA, 22 1/2" x 13 5/8".
Having some scattered flakes and chips to flowers, most minor.
