PUFFY SLEEVE ARTIST (NEW ENGLAND, ACTIVE C. 1820), ATTRIBUTED, FOLK ART HOLLOW-CUT SILHOUETTE OF A MAN, a fine example, executed in watercolor, three-quarter length depiction of subject sporting high white stock and patterned vest, a top hat in his hand, paper bears faint period pencil inscription verso, Housed under glass in period, possibly original, molded gilt wood frame with ring hanger, pine secondary. Circa 1830. 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" sight, 5 1/8" x 4 1/8" OA.
