RARE 1932 GEORGE WASHINGTON COMMEMORATIVE GILDED BRONZE PLAQUETTE, first issue with no ring to reverse, retaining original patina, designed by Laura Gardin Frazier (American, 1889-1966) and stuck by Medallic Art Co., New York, NY and so marked along bottom edge. Struck in 1932. Reserve. 3 1/8" x 2 1/4".
Catalogue Note: The present plaquette is one of only 30 examples of this small size struck in 1932.

Appears MS65 or better. Not professionally graded.
