REMINGTON 1867 NAVY ROLLING BLOCK PISTOL AND HOLSTER, 50 caliber, transitional civilian model, marked "REMINGTONS ILION N.Y. U.S.A./ PAT. MAY 3 NOV. 15TH 1864 APRIL 17TH 1866" to frame above trigger, round barrel stamped with anchor top, walnut grips and forend. Together with original leather holster. Two pieces total. 1867. 13 1/2" LOA, 8 1/2" barrel.
Provenance: Descended in the Thomas family, Greenway Lane, Richmond, VA.
Good as-found condition, small area of pitting to side of frame, rest of metals mainly smooth, grips with some denting and short crack.
