RICHMOND, VIRGINIA COIN SILVER TABLESPOONS, LOT OF TWO, each having an ovoid bowl on a forward-tipped fiddle handle with pointed shoulders and a personalized engraving, comprising a longer example by Mitchell & Tyler, which was the partnership between Samuel Phillips Mitchell and John Henry Tyler, of Richmond, VA (active 1845-1866) with an unidentified retailer's mark of "DARRACOTT", and a shorter example by John H. Tyler & Co. of Richmond, VA (active 1866-1887). Each with a maker's mark. Total weight: 3.010 ozt. Mid/third quarter 19th century. 7 7/8" and 8 5/8" LOA.
Very good overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, and nicks, minor worn spots to tips of bowls; shorter example with some minute denting to bowl.
