ROBERT E. LEE (1807-1870) ASSOCIATED DRESS NECK TIE, black satin/silk fabric with linen backing labeled "The Seidal." With a typed card indicating Lee wore this tie while president at Washington College. Presented in a modern display case. Circa 1870. 17" L.
Catalogue Note: While Lee is primarily known for wearing a bowtie, numerous photographs show him wearing a dress tie, like the present example.
