S. KIRK & SON REPOUSSE STERLING AND COIN SILVER ARTICLES, LOT OF TWO, each piece having a repousse and chased floral design, possibly being of the "Repousse" pattern, comprising a sterling silver butter dish without cover having probably original unmarked silver reticulated liner that is removable, and a 0.917 silver small canister, possibly being a shaving brush holder. Each with silver fineness and maker's marks, liner unmarked and of unknown silver fineness but possibly sterling. Total weight: 11.450 ozt. Together with a shaving brush having a short sterling silver handle by Simons Bros. of Philadelphia, PA. Three pieces total. S. Kirk & Son, Baltimore, MD. 19th/first quarter 20th century. Butter dish 7" DOA rim.
Provenance: Deaccessioned by the Valentine Museum, Richmond, VA to benefit collections care, preservation, and future acquisitions.

Condition

Good to very good overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, and other imperfections including residue/surface losses due to removed accession numbers, a few dents, nicks, and/or worn spots to raised decoration.
