SAILOR'S SHELL-WORK VALENTINE, center with a heart motif overlaid with a banner that reads "LOVE", surrounded by a various small shells in an octagonal arrangement accented by flower-form motifs. Housed under glass in a period shadowbox frame. Second half 19th century. 9 5/8" x 7 5/8" sight, 13 5/8" x 11 3/4" x 4 1/4" OA.
Very good visual condition, no visible breaks to shells. Not examined outside of frame.
