AMERICAN SCHOOL (19TH CENTURY) FOLK ART PAINTING OF THE FISHING VESSEL "EDWIN DAYTON", oil on artist's board, depicting the steam drifter "Edwin Dayton" fishing vessel with an on-board crew and two small boats working to hoist a net of fish, situated in calm waters with land in the background, initialed "BFC" in the lower left. Housed in a period gilt-molded frame. Second half 19th century. 11 1/2" x 18 1/2" sight, 15 1/2" x 22 1/4" OA.

Condition
Very good visual condition with light toning, some craquelure, a loss to proper left top corner, frame with some wear, surface scratches, hairlines, some flakes and a few chips to molding along edges. Slightly loose in frame.
