SAMUEL WALTERS (BRITISH, 1811-1872), ATTRIBUTED, PORTRAIT OF THE CLIPPER SHIP "JANE GOLDEE", oil on canvas, a dynamic example with crisp detail, including sailors rigging sails, on original stretcher, canvas bearing London merchant stamp verso, no signature located. Housed in likely original gilt frame with molded-composition ornamentation. Circa 1840. 25" x 35" sight, 33 3/4" x 43 3/4" OA.

Very good overall original condition with minor craquelure, light stretcher bar marks, and areas of discoloration, very minor surface losses upper left and lower right, other scattered minute surface losses. Frame very good overall with minor scattered wear, small losses and possible repairs.
