SHENANDOAH VALLEY OF VIRGINIA FEDERAL INLAID WALNUT CHEST OF DRAWERS, rectangular top with applied molding over two short drawers and three graduated dovetailed drawers, all having faux-panel string inlays, raised on cut-out bracket feet, solid ends. Heavy yellow pine secondary wood. Non-original, period brass eagle pulls in the original drillings. Retains an old surface with warm color. Probably Augusta or Rockbridge Co., VA. Circa 1810. 45 1/2" H, 36" W, 19 1/2" D.

Condition
Very good overall condition, tiny old patch repair to one drawer facing, each long drawer with a tiny plugged hole from a later drilling adjacent to each pull, old repair to one stile facing, scattered minor areas of discoloration and wear.
