SHENANDOAH VALLEY OF VIRGINIA STAVE-TYPE WOVEN-SPLINT BASKET, white oak, very finely woven circular form with dyed weavers, X-wrapped rim with unique cross-wrapped termination of the rim wrapping, arched handle, and kick up bottom. Outstanding original dry surface with even oxidation. Possibly Pulaski County. First quarter 20th century. 8 1/4" HOA, 4 1/4" H rim, 8 1/8" D rim.

Immaculate original condition with no breaks, losses, or repairs.
