SHENANDOAH VALLEY OF VIRGINIA STAVE-TYPE WOVEN-SPLINT BASKET, white oak, very finely woven circular form with dyed weavers, and very uncommon yellow-dyed splints (visible from bottom, sides have oxidized), X-wrapped rim with unique cross-wrapped termination of the rim wrapping, arched handle, and kick up bottom. Outstanding original dry surface with even oxidation. Possibly Pulaski County. First quarter 20th century. 7 3/4" HOA, 3 5/8" H rim, 8 1/4" D rim.

Excellent condition with no losses, breaks, or damage.
