SIGNED GEORGE FULTON (1834-1894), ALLEGHANY CO., VALLEY OF VIRGINIA DECORATED STONEWARE HARVEST JUG, salt-glazed, approximately one-gallon capacity, ovoid form with a large flaring and a small collared spout, three bands of triple incised rings and a center applied strap-like handle with broad medial ridge and molded faux screw heads to terminals. Brushed cobalt "G N Fulton" in script above a horizontal triple bloom floral decoration with additional decorative elements to one side and reverse featuring a spitting tulip flanked by dropped feather decorations, additional cobalt to handle terminals.
