SIGNED H.E. LEMAN, LANCASTER, PENNSYLVANIA KENTUCKY-STYLE LONG RIFLE, approximately .32 caliber, percussion, faux-striped maple halfstock with brass end cap and buttplate, carved cheekrest, two-piece brass patchbox, rifled octagonal barrel, double set trigger, barrel and lockplate each marked "H.E. LEMAN / LANCASTER PA", period ramrod. Henry E. Leman, Lancaster, PA (active 1834-1887). Mid/third quarter 19th century. 49 1/2" LOA, 34 1/4" L barrel.
Condition
Very good overall condition with expected usage wear, stock with two cracks on left side opposite lockplate.
