SOUTHWESTERN VIRGINIA / EASTERN TENNESSEE STONEWARE PITCHER, salt-glazed, approximately one-quart capacity, truncated ovoid form with two incised rings below the plain rim, medial channel strap handle with thumb-pressed lower terminal, and beaded foot. Circa 1870. 6 1/2" H, 4 3/8" D rim.
Shallow moderate chip to underside of foot, otherwise undamaged.
