STAFFORDSHIRE AMERICAN HISTORICAL TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC SMALL PLATTER, featuring a States series pattern, depicting Belton House, Lincolnshire with flock of sheep in foreground, flanked by patriotic female figures Justice and Liberty on platforms reading "AMERICA AND / INDEPENDENCE", portrait image of George Washington beside Justice, border featuring 15 states enumerated in swags interspersed with stars. Impressed crown mark encircled with "CLEWS WARRANTED STAFFORDSHIRE" to underside. Ralph & James Clews, Cobridge, England. 1814-1834. 9 5/8" x 7 7/8".
