STAFFORDSHIRE AMERICAN HISTORICAL TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC VEGETABLE DISH, ovoid form, featuring States series patterns, having central image depicting Doveridge Hall, Derbyshire, flanked by patriotic female figures Justice and Liberty on platforms reading "AMERICA AND / INDEPENDENCE", portrait image of George Washington beside Justice, border featuring 15 states enumerated in swags interspersed with stars, and exterior having Coghill Hall, Yorkshire to each side. Impressed crown mark encircled with "CLEWS WARRANTED STAFFORDSHIRE" to underside. Ralph & James Clews, Cobridge, England. 1814-1834. 1 7/8" HOA, 9 3/8" x 7 1/8".
