STAFFORDSHIRE AMERICAN HISTORICAL TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC WELL-AND-TREE PLATTER, featuring black transfer "TEXIAN / CAMPAIGNE", as printed to underside, depicting a battle scene with figures on horseback and border designs featuring the Greek Goddess, Ceres, and war trophies. Additional marks to underside include impressed "18". James Beech, Sandyford, Tunstall, England. 1835–1844. 18 1/4" x 15 1/4".
