STAFFORDSHIRE AMERICAN VIEW TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC PLATTER, featuring the "PENNSYLVANIA HOSPITAL / PHILADELPHIA.", as printed to underside, depicting a large building with cupolas to each end and three gentleman wearing top hats on a cobblestone street in foreground. Additional printed marks to underside include "BEAUTIES OF AMERICA / J & W RIDGWAY". John & William Ridgway, Hanley, England. 1813-1830. 18 1/2" x 14 1/8".
