STAFFORDSHIRE AMERICAN VIEW TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC COFFEE POT, featuring light blue transfer "WILKESBARRE / VALE OF WYOMING", as printed to underside, depicting a couple overlooking the Susquehanna River with mountains in background, having narrow lace border decoration. Additional marks to underside include an impressed Royal Coat of Arms (lion and unicorn) with "OPAQUE / GRANITE / CHINA / W.R. & Co." to shield. William Ridgway, Shelton, Hanley, England. 1830-1854. 10 1/2" HOA.

Catalogue Note: Mr. Routson noted that light blue transfer scenes on coffee pot forms are rare.
Mostly undamaged, except cover with restoration to two chips/flakes to rim edge and spout with some glaze wear.
