STAFFORDSHIRE AMERICAN VIEW TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC PLATES, LOT OF FOUR, comprising three dark blue transfer example including one example depicting "Woodlands / near / Phila.a" having eagle and scroll border, one featuring "WRIGHT'S / FERRY / ON THE / SUSQUEHANNA" with floral and scroll border, and one depicting a "DUMB ASYLUM." (Philadelphia) with four medallion border decoration, and one pink/red transfer example featuring "Battle / Monument / Baltimore" depiction. Additional marks to underside include printed "JACKSONS WARRANTED" to ribbon. Job & John Jackson, Burslem; Enoch Wood & Sons, Burslem; Joseph Stubbs, Longport, England; and others. First half 19th century. 6 3/4" to 9 1/8" D.

Baltimore example undamaged; Woodlands example having faint rim hairline, some scattered of glaze loss to rim and usage wear including light scattered scratches; Wright's Ferry example in excellent visual condition with some professional restoration; Dumb Asylum having restoration including old filled-in rim flakes/chips.
