STAFFORDSHIRE AMERICAN VIEW TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC PLATTER, featuring "NEW YORK. FROM HEIGHTS. Nr BROOKLYN", as printed to underside, depicting the harbor and city with numerous church steeples in background, and two figures in foreground, one carrying a bundle on a stick over right shoulder, floral and scroll border decoration. Marks to underside include printed spread-wing eagle grasping ribbon with "E PLURIBUS UNUM" and "By W.G. Wall, Esq.", impressed crown encircled by "A STEVENSON WARRANTED STAFFORDSHIRE", and old hand-brushed accession number "L.2378.316". Andrew Stevenson, Cobridge, England. 1810-1827. 16 1/4" x 12 5/8".
