STAFFORDSHIRE AMERICAN VIEW TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC PLATTER, featuring light blue transfer "HARVARD UNIVERSITY 1941 / NORTHEAST PROSPECT OF HARVARD IN 1823 - / FROM SITE LATER CHOSEN FOR MEMORIAL HALL", as printed to underside, depicting campus buildings in background and a gentleman on horseback in foreground, having floral and fruit border with molded gadroon scalloped rim. Additional marks to underside include printed "WEDGWOOD / MADE IN / ENGLAND / OF ETRURIA / & BARLASTON" and impressed "WEDGWOOD". Wedgwood, Etruria, England. Circa 1941. 19 1/4" x 16 3/4".
