STAFFORDSHIRE AMERICAN VIEW TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC PLATTER, featuring the "ALMS HOUSE / NEW YORK", as printed to underside, depicting a sizeable building with cupola, located on Blackwell’s (Roosevelt) Island in the East River, with retaining wall to foreground. Additional marks to underside include printed "BEAUTIES OF AMERICA / J & W RIDGWAY". John & William Ridgway, Hanley, England. 1813-1830. 16 3/4" X 12 3/4".
